We’re thrilled that QDOS has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal. This recognition isn’t just another checkbox for us—it’s a reflection of the hard work we’re putting in to make a real, measurable impact. 

What is the EcoVadis Bronze Medal? 

The EcoVadis Bronze Medal is a certification that tells you a company is striving to meet global standards for sustainability. Ecovadis exists to help businesses be more ethical, responsible, and sustainable. They evaluate companies using methodology aligned with global frameworks and regulatory requirements.

EcoVadis assesses a company's sustainability performance across 4 key themes:

1. Environmental practices: How well the company minimises its environmental impact. This includes efforts like reducing greenhouse gas emissions, recycling, managing waste, and using sustainable materials.
2. Labour and human rights: How the company protects its workers and promotes fair treatment. This includes ensuring safe working conditions, upholding workers' rights, and maintaining these standards throughout the supply chain.
3. Ethical business practices: How the company ensures fairness and integrity in its operations. EcoVadis values actions like the prevention of corruption, being transparent about business activities and monitoring ethical practices across the supply chain.
4. Sustainable procurement: This focuses on how the company works with suppliers to promote sustainable and ethical practices, ensuring they align with environmental and social standards.
   

After companies are assessed on these 4 themes, EcoVadis provides a scorecard for organisations to identify areas for improvement and demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and fair practice to their customers.

• Check their website: You can look at a company website and find their sustainability information.
• Read reports: Read their sustainability or annual reports for mentions.
• Ask them: Contact them through their website to check if they have been awarded a medal.
• Look online: Use keywords like the company's name written next to the term ‘EcoVadis medal’.
• Packaging: Some companies may have their EcoVadis medal on their product packaging.
